Hydrospace DC Motors are optimized for specific applicationa, based on output speed and torque requirements. The motor magnetic design and performance parameters are matched to the available power bank, whether from battery source or surface supplied power. The Electronic Control Units (ECU) are also matched to the voltage and power level required. ECU equipment can be integrated in the motor, when applicable, or is installed externally in a compact oil-filled, pressure tolerant housing, or a pressure vessel when the electronics need to be kept dry. Hydrospace performs all electromagnetic, thermal and mechanical FEA analysis in-house to design, build and certify the systems as needed. All interconnecting cabling and bulkhead connectors are standard and are often customized to meet customer interface requirements. Control interfaces range from simple analog +/-10V speed control to full digital bus (CAN Bus or Ethernet) multi drop communication.
